ST. STEPHEN S.S. KATAKWI

St. Stephen Secondary School Katakwi had its inception in 2001.It was founded by the Catholic Church under the Catholic Diocese of Soroti.  The school is a mixed day and boarding Level school with UNEB Centre Number U2098 which is registered with Ministry of Education, Science, Technology and Sports (PSS/S327), the school is located in Katakwi Town council in southern ward in Katanga cell near St Stephen Catholic Church and its among the fourteen (14) secondary schools operating in Katakwi District. The school has been operating as a Catholic Church Funded school not until 2018 when the government took over as a government aided school with 26 staff posted by government and the school has got its motto, vision and mission that guide in the running of the school. In this regard, the school renders holistic education to students with emphasis on moral, spiritual and cultural issues taken seriously.

The school lies to the South of Katakwi Town about 300m from the district headquarters and close to Katakwi Police station and within the Catholic parish of St. Stephen Katakwi in Katanga cell and its about 150M away from Soroti  Moroto highway.
