Jesus is our saviour

Jesus is a Saviour Cfr. 1 John 5:5-13 Lk. 5:12-16

Today the focus is on knowing Jesus, accepting that he is the son of God and believing in him is what gives us life. The first reading calls on us to recognize the things that testify to Jesus: water and blood, the water representing his baptism and blood representing his sacrifice for us. Jesus was baptized in the Jordan and on this day that he was introduced to the world as the beloved son of God and he died on the cross for our sake, and in all these the spirit makes us understand. These instances are enough for us to believe in him without any doubt that truly this is the son of God and if he is the son of God anything you ask through him you will receive. Of course anything he asks us to do we will follow it because it is from God. We follow it because he is that light 🕯️ that has come to brighten the world. Yesterday’s readings reveal how the spirit of God is upon him to bring us the good news of life and anyone who accepts this good news will have life in abundance.
‎The gospel today shows practically how Jesus brings us life. First we believe in him and whatever we ask we will get it. The man with leprosy believed in Jesus and approached Jesus to help him. Jesus filled with compassion healed him of his disease and he went away glorifying the Lord and many others came to be healed too. What is your disease? What is your sickness? What is worrying you? Take all these to Jesus.
‎May we be healed by the Lord
