Do things Right always
Our people have the saying that if a blind man does not have his hand on a weapon, he will not ask to fight you. But most of the times we commit sins or we do bad things to our neighbors because we feel we have the upper hand, and because of this people remain adamant to change from their evil ways. In fact they always feel they are right or they convince everyone that they are right because they have the upper hand. Sometimes they become so rude, they speak as if they have the power even to live forever. For such people the law of God becomes secondary to them or they feel they determine the law of God. Because they assume they are on top of the game.
For such people they believe that they will only obey God’s word or do things Right when signs of them loosing sight of their supposed source of arrogance or insensitive regard towards others begin to show.
To such people are the words of scripture addressed to today, most people begin to do things Right, respect others ideas when they are sick, when they lose power, when they lose their source of income. But today the word tells us that we should not be so.
Like the people of Ninive when an opportunity is given for us to change or to convert make use of that opportunity and the Lord will forgive you. Do not wait for the rain to begin before you look for shelter. Look for shelter because it will definitely rain one day.
The message of today invites us to always try to do things right , do the things that make for peace, do things as if you want to build the world, do things in humility, do things with compassion, even when we go wrong the Lord will forgive us, because we are humble to ask for his mercy.
We shouldn’t play smart , because it does not work with God.
Let us pray with like the people of Ninive, however great we are , to be humble, to initiate the king of Ninive, call your people to order.
May God’s wisdom guide us all in our steps. we pray for people having challenges at work, for the sick and those in any form of challenge the Lord will give answer soon. Blessings
