Leaders need to be exemplary
Today, the readings kind of challenge all of us to live a witnessing life. It is better than trying to explain how good we are. Live a good life and it will be evident to everyone. Especially those who aspire to lead the rest, should be undoubtedly good, they should not try to fake anything. We are advised to adopt certain values of life that makes this possible, welcoming to everyone, no matter their status, they should cultivate good habits that ensures they are sober, such as not being drunkards, good temperament, not indulging in women, hospitable. They should have a good family so that their children also show a good example of life. They should not love money, women, and drink. These 3 things, all of us should be careful with them.
In the gospel Jesus raises up a dead man. The Bible says that he who lives according to the law of God even if he dies , he will live. We saw that many people came out to mourn the lose of this man, the only son of his mother. Is not because he was an only son but obviously he lived a good live, he lead a life worthy of emulation. Even the action of Jesus shows us that a good leader should show compassion and attend to the most important issues affecting the community.
May this wisdom be part of each of us in our daily lives.
